Desislava (she/her) received her bachelor’s degree at Sofia University after defending her thesis on light-matter interactions. She joined the group of Prof. Dr. Gerhard Kirchmair for her master's project on parametric amplifiers based on dispersion engineered Josephson junction arrays. Desislava continues her research within the group with a new focus on exploring novel superconducting architectures for creating error-corrected logical quantum bits.
