Sílvia completed the Bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Mathematics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2017. She chose to specialize in theorical quantum physics by following a Masters’ degree in the University of Innsbruck, in Austria, where she did her master thesis about light-matter interaction in nanostructures. Since 2019 she is a PhD student at the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) and the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the University of Innsbruck. She works in the group lead by Prof. Oriol Romero-Isart exploring the intersection of quantum optics and levitated nanoparticles. Her research focuses on the design of protocols to unravel quantum phenomena in nanoscale systems.
