Tatiana Vovk (she/her) was born on 27th of April 1997 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She started her studies in Physics in 2014 at ITMO University in Saint Petersburg, where in 2018 she received her BSc degree with a thesis on laser cooling of nanocrystals doped with Ytterbium ions written under the supervision of Prof. Yuri Rozhdestvensky. For her MSc degree she continued her studies in Saint Petersburg with the second year spent in EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland, where she took part in research on optomechanics of superconducting circuits under the supervision of Prof. Tobias Kippenberg. Her Master thesis on optomechanical methods for obtaining of macroscopic quantum states combined the results of her work in Saint Petersburg and Lausanne. After graduation in September 2020, she started her PhD studies in the quantum many-body optics group led by Prof. Hannes Pichler in October 2020.
