Gemma received her degree in Physics in Barcelona, her PhD in Theoretical Physics in Innsbruck with Prof. Briegel, and after spending some time at the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics in Munich with Prof. Cirac and at the Perimeter Institute in Canada, she came back to Innsbruck. Her research group works on mathematical quantum physics and notions of universality in physics, computer science and beyond. She loves philosophy and poetry.
