Aswathi K. Sivan (she/her/they/them) is a Georg H. Endress Postdoctoral Fellow at the Physics Department of the University of Basel. Her research focuses on ultrafast carrier and phonon dynamics within quantum materials, particularly in the femtosecond and picosecond timescales. She employs advanced spectroscopic techniques, including time-resolved inelastic light scattering, photoluminescence, and transient absorption spectroscopy, to explore these complex dynamics. She is deeply committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia, particularly in supporting women, people of color, and LGBTQIA+ communities. Furthermore, she has a strong interest in science communication and outreach activities.
